These are images of fly lines I have made in the past, they are NOT lines for sale. I created this gallery to demonstrate what different color combos might look like, to aid in choosing colors for your fly line. Some of these images are not the best, so I apologize. With so many thread colors there are literally more combinations than there are stars in the universe (I counted them!), so I cannot possibly know what every combination will look like. If you choose colors that I feel will not look the way you intend (too dark, for instance), I will let you know. Otherwise, create it to your own tastes, that is the point of all the colors! Have fun!
Please keep in mind that every line is a unique creation, and no two will ever be identical, as it should be.
When choosing your line colors, please note that with the exception of black, all colors will become slightly translucent, allowing the color beneath to show through. Please see the demonstration below.

As you can see, the sage green above looks solid, until it intersects with another color, then the two colors blend together. This can lead to a line that is darker or muddier than intended. As I said, I will let you know if I think the colors you choose will be problematic, but I can’t possibly know how all the colors will interact on your line.
