Braiding 16 strands of super fine polyester gives this line a very smooth feel, zero memory, and embraces the true nature and simplicity of traditional Tenkara lines. Prior to extruded plastic lines, many tenkara lines were braided of silk, which required great care to maintain. This line combines the classic feel and cast of silk, with the durability of a modern fiber, but none of the hassle of upkeep. Braided line has a smaller diameter than furled, therefore much more wind resistant/better casting. The floating line has been treated with Zen’s proprietary floatant, which not only keeps it floating like a cork, but adds mass for a straighter, truer cast. Includes a 2mm alloy tippet ring for quick and easy tippet changes.
