Snake Oil is my proprietary blend of SILICONE-FREE ingredients designed to keep your fly line, leaders and flies floating high on the water’s surface. Highly hydrophobic, yet perfectly safe for all of your gear, and even works great for chapped, dry skin. All ingredients are either cosmetic or food grade and are safe for you, your pets and the environment.

- Use sparingly in all cases, as excess paste will attract dirt, which will cause the fly line/leader/fly to sink.
- For fly lines and leaders, simply wipe paste onto DRY surfaces to avoid dry rot, then gently wipe away any excess. My Mini Shams are great for this, and can be carried in any pocket of your vest.
- For dry flies, apply SPARINGLY! I cannot stress that highly enough. A little goes a very long way. Gently rub a small amount into the fly’s hackle, then hold it closely to your lips and blow on the fly to revive any matting that occurs. A properly treated fly will look no differently than it did prior to treatment, but will float indefinitely without any further effort.
