In Stock Silk Fly Lines

Our silk fly lines are braided on a 120 year old New England Butt Company braiding machine, that has been braiding fly lines for most of it’s existence. We use only the finest quality filament silk from Japan, that is batch dyed in brilliant color to make the lines truly beautiful to behold. All lines are hand finished, over many painstaking days to just the right texture, weight, and hand-feel. Tapered lines feature an eight foot, 4 step taper that is almost impossible to feel by hand. Loops (if ordered), are hand cut, formed, and whipped with silk, then bonded and dipped in a final coat of finish.

While the majority of our lines are custom made to our customers’ exact colors and specifications, we also have a limited selection of fly lines on hand for immediate purchase. Please note that unlike ‘production’ silk lines you see elsewhere, each one of these lines is a different color, or color combination, to suit the buyer’s personal taste.
